Review of the functioning of the Victorian emergency water supply network

Research Question

Through the South West node it was identified that the network of 300 emergency water supply points (EWSPs)  across Victoria that provide water carting for emergency stock and domestic purposes and firefighting are managed and maintained by a range of organisations, including local councils and urban and rural water corporations. However, the level of maintenance and access varies considerably (some inoperable).

The review is being conducted and reported for government purposes to create a plan or action for repairs/maintenance.
