This practical workshop is workshop 3 of 5  focusing on supporting practical, whole‑farm system thinking to help reduce risk, protect ground cover and make better decisions with season variability. This workshop focuses on the planning and tactics of Spring early-summer production.

Spring Planning & Tactics

• How much feed do we need?
• What are the likely outcomes
• Set the December pasture prediction
  • Set target, Spring forecast, Plant Available Water
• Measuring and assessing the current pasture (in paddock)

Is production on track, surplus or shortfall?

• • Tactical options:
    • Nitrogen applications
    • Impact of weed management (spray topping)
    • Establishment of Summer Fodders
    • Animal controlled loss of condition
    • Fodder Conservation

As this is part of a workshop series this is invite only to the attendee’s who attended Workshop 1 & 2.  No new participants are being accepted at this time, a new round of workshop’s will start May 2027.
