Southern Farming Systems (SFS) is a leading applied agricultural research and extension organisation servicing the High Rainfall Zone (HRZ) of Victoria and Tasmania. We’re looking for an experienced, people-focused individual to lead our cropping research team and help drive innovative on-farm outcomes.

About the Role
You will oversee our cropping research and extension team, managing trials across Victoria and Tasmania, liaising with stakeholders, coordinating logistics, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of trials and reporting. You’ll also work closely with industry partners, agronomy consultants, and sponsors to expand our research impact and secure future projects.
Key Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science or related field
- Proven leadership in agronomic research and/or extension
- Strong understanding of broadacre cropping systems
- Experience managing staff, logistics, and project delivery
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
