Team liming new trial

Climate Smart Project Lime Trial in Tasmania

This trial will examine how different refinement levels of lime perform, both with and without incorporation. Southern Farming Systems Tasmania is working with Erinne Stirling from the University of Adelaide setting up the trial starting with the first treatments in March 2026.

The second timing of applications were applied to the University of Adelaide’s Climate Smart Australia Project Lime Trial located in the central Midlands end of April 2026. This application was the surface applied lime treatments, post sowing of a red clover seed crop. These will be compared against the first application which was incorporated prior to sowing.
