Scottsdale – What is a change of climate doing to the future of our community?

With the seasons changing it’s time to prepare and build more resilient farm businesses.

Producers and industry stakeholders are invited to a workshop exploring:

  • 20 years into the future, seasonal changes to dry land agriculture in Scottsdale through climate modelling.  Cam Nicholson, Nicon Rural Services
  • How to use monitoring systems to inform when changes in climate, making old rules of thumb less reliable. Marek Matuszek, Ag Logic
  • Seasonal conditions and current drought preparedness opportunities for farmers. Sophie Folder, Drought Resilience Coordinator, Tas Farmers
  • Keeping connected Rural Alive and Well Tasmania with the health services and support available to farmers and Ag communities as we prepare for drier times.
  • Taking action with Amanda Aitken from Take a Minute Tasmania will add a ‘tool to our toolbox’ to help keep individuals and organisations mentally fit and healthy and connected, with the new app
